Monday Afternoon...

Today was a wild ride. We did a whole lot in just a few hours. One thing I wanted to mention from this morning that was quite a shock to me was how open the Muslim women were to us. We started to run around the room for the exercising class and I had not started running yet because I was still recovering from the previous workout. As one of the women ran behind me she slapped my butt and smiled while waving and telling me to join in. It was really interesting to see how outgoing they are. We also worked on a couple community gardens and built some beds. (See the slide show in the left column!) There were many weeds and a lot to do but we took on the job with eagerness. The guys tore down a wooden fence that was falling and are rebuilding it tomorrow. Of

course we got rained on but it was amazing just to do those little things like transplanting Rhubarb and revealing tomatoes that were hidden by Morning Glories.
