1) Come however you are. This reminds me of the song "Come However You Are" by City Harbor:
Come however you are
Come with all your heart breaks
Come with all the mistakes you've made
Lay them down at the cross
Come with all the mistakes you've made
Lay them down at the cross
2) The gospel can be applied in different ways to different people. We learned of different encounters with prostitutes, drug addicts, and others and how the Lord helped the missionaries speak to them and give them courage in dangerous situations.
3) Share the gospel in short stories on several occasions. Be yourself! Make the boring Sunday school story exciting by adding slang and your own commentary!
I especially liked our evangelical lessons because I feel like they will come in handy as I move off to college and approach different kinds of people from all backgrounds.
Later this morning...Worst workout of my life. I will be sore tomorrow and everyone will agree with me. We participated in an exercise class with a handful of Muslim women. No matter our religion differences or language barrier, we all laughed together and had fun!
Lastly, the girls helped out with a group of women trying to pass their citizenship test. I taught two women how to spell the word "the". I also had to ask them a group of questions. No matter the question, their answer was always "Michigan". And if Michigan was in the question, their answer was always "Lansing". It was a learning experience for me, but I also made some friends! I cannot wait to give them a practice test tomorrow!
...And that was all before lunch!
